Avanti Mehrotra

I am from the Hardinge Batch of 1992. As I reflect on my time at LH, the word that comes to mind most is "rewarding."

On a personal level, those years were filled with fun, friendship, adventure, and laughter. Professionally, they signified a period of immense growth, learning, and maturity.

Soon after graduation, I moved to the US in 1998. I was in MI for 13 years, where I completed my residency and fellowship training and established my first practice. In 2010, we moved to Minneapolis and made it home! I’m currently at North Memorial Health Care practicing Hematology-Oncology.

Hardinge is also where I met my husband Alok Maheshwari, while he was doing his post-graduate studies in Medicine. He is now a practicing Interventional Cardiologist. We have two sons. Arjun graduated last year with a degree in AI and History and is now working in New York, and Ashwin is currently a sophomore in college.

The LH legacy runs deep in my family—my mother, Dr Rashmi Mehrotra, is also an alumnus from the batch of 1969. Hardinge is clearly a defining chapter of my life!

I am excited to be a part of LHMCAANA and would love to see it grow! We have loved building our life here in MN and would like to strengthen ties and foster closeness within the Hardinge community in the region, and across the country. For old times sake and for new bonds to build, I would love to see LH alumni come together to create a robust group of influential, strong and fun women!!
