A community where Fun, Fitness and Friendship frolic......

Want to have some fun on Sundays?

Then join us, the Happy Feet Hardonians for this 45-minute sweat breaking, heart thumping class taught by our own Sugandha Agarwal. Learn to jam to the tunes of popular Bollywood songs. Followed by a much needed cool down. No previous experience needed. Hope to see you all on Sundays 5:30 PM Eastern.

We have met regularly since our inception on April 7, 2021.

We have a WhatsApp page which has 111 members, of which about 7-12 join the Zoom session every week. The session is on, irrespective of attendance, thanks to the generosity of our dear leaders. The Zoom link is embedded in the title of the WhatsApp page and does not change. We welcome any tasteful posts or forwards related to dance and our members on this page.

We have learnt Bhangra steps, and most recently are learning Garba / Dandiya. We have participated in a video dance that was choreographed by Sugandha and her daughter Shrivali out of a sequence that Sugandha asked us to record at home and share with her. It was great fun!!

Megha Gupta too has given up impromptu sessions on sporadic Saturdays and hopes to continue next year.

We welcome all new members as we rejoice in the camaraderie that exists among the group. Please contact us at: infolhmcaana@gmail.com for information on joining us. We want you....

Recent Updates

We are a WhatsApp group of over 111 members.

We have 45 minutes of fun time every Sunday evening on Zoom. We get moving and enjoy learning not only many dance forms including Bhangra, Garba and Bollywood, but also have yoga and face yoga, Pilate and weight bearing exercises. We are grateful to all the incredible Hardonians who are so generous with their time and energy and who are dedicated to teaching.

Anne Patchett wrote her recent novel while walking on a treadmill desk. She affirmed that walking improved her creativity and physical health.

Now with years of research we know that physical activity triggers stem cell production in the brain and improves blood flow. Regular exercise helps improve cardiovascular function, strengthens muscles, counteracts obesity and improves our mood. Being a physician I am passionate about preventing chronic diseases, many of which occur due to inactivity.

At Happy Feet we invite you to get groovy with us, have fun, make new friends and improve your health.

Our energetic leader keeps us on our toes:

"From Disco to Bhangra
From Choli to Ghagra
From Retro to Rap
From Fitness to Fab
We continue to move and shake
And friends forever we make."

Some of the participants have been able to showcase their talents during the recent Miami bash with songs like ‘Jugnu’, ‘balam pichkari’ that captured everyone’s interest and the festive mood of Holi.

Currently the club is working on an evergreen wedding dance song “Mahi Ve” at the request of Sudha Bansal who wants to perform this at her son’s wedding.
