For Alumni to give back to our Alma Mater..... Our batch celebrated it's 50th anniversary in Delhi in Feb.2020 and there was a general feeling of gratitude for the exceptionally affordable and superior education that we received at LHMC. Parminder Sodhi from our batch made an impassioned plea to our batch to give back. Happily our batch has responded and fortuitously joined hands with Madhu Ahluwalia from the batch of 1966 and Asha Mishra batch of ’72. Asha had sponsored a scholarship for a student at LHMC through LHMCAA, in her mother’s memory. Madhu had been independently seeking to sponsor a scholarship for a current LHMC student as she herself had received a scholarship to pursue her education at LHMC 50 years ago. This initiative has been instrumental in the activation of LHMCAANA. Currently LHMC enrolls 240 students each year and at least 35 of these students apply for scholarships. The LHMCAANA evaluated it's options and chose to partner with Foundation for Excellence(FFE) based in Silicon Valley, to sponsor scholarships for undergraduate students at LHMC who need financial help. FFE is a not for profit organization that has an excellent track record and has made it very easy and transparent for us to give back to our Alma Mater in a meaningful way. LHMCAANA is committed to supporting the students for all 5 years of their education at LHMC The following Alumni sponsored scholarships for 2022-23 freshers

Bharti Razdan and Ranju Gupta joined the league of donors. A few words from the Students It was very motivating. watching our alums living a successful life that we dream of, was so inspirational and emotional too. I actually got tears for a moment cause they were talking to us like friends, parents and seniors at the same time and they were sharing their college stories with us that made us laugh. I am grateful to FFE for the session I am Roshni Kumari from Shalimar Bagh Delhi. I am pursuing my 1st Year MBBS from Lady Hardinge medical college Delhi. My father is a rikshaw driver and we are dependent on his income, so it was not easy for me to pay all the college expenses. I am grateful to FFE and my LHMC Alumni who provided me scholarship. Now I can manage my finances as a student for pursuing my higher education. For this I am very thankful to my donor and FFE. Thank you very much for your support and generosity. |
