MANAGED BYBecause to Read is to Live a Thousand Lives The purpose of the Hardinge Book Worms club is to read and enjoy literature and make friendships! So, if you love books, and you're ready to discuss them... you're in the right place. We have 56 members in the club, and anywhere from 6-14 members have actively participated at a given time. We have been meeting every month on the 4th Friday of the month at 7:30 PM EST on Zoom. The group was started in April and after establishing the rules initially, we have met every 4th Friday. The session is hosted by a volunteer (chosen the month prior to the Session) who opens the discussion with a summary of the book and her impressions. This is followed by a free for all discussion for some time and our group leader draws in participation from all the members. Since our first group discussion in May, we have read 7 books. We alternate between fiction and nonfiction books. Please contact us at: infolhmcaana@gmail.com for information on joining our club. We want you....
Asha Mishra keeps a running list of books suggested by the members and Madhuri Thota runs a poll to choose the book for a meeting 2 months prior to the actual date. The discussions are animated and lively. The different perspectives make us think, help us grow and bring us closer together.
