Vision:

  • Bring financial stability to the organization.
  • Ensure LHMCAANA’s compliance with IRS and state regulations.

Long term Goals:

  • Work towards having a restricted  Endowment Fund generated by life membership dues, for posterity.  The dividend income from the Endowment fund will be available for  annual expenses and a few small annual recurring projects.
  • Have an Annual fund comprised of annual membership dues,  dividends from the Endowment Fund and donations for annual operating expenses.

Short term goals :

  • Develop a budget for LHMCAANA with recurring annual operating expenses.
  • Work towards generating revenue for annual operating expenses via annual memberships.
  • Identify an accountant who is familiar with not for profits in NY.
  • Change of address for LHMCAANA with NY State.

Strategy:

  • Transparent financial reports on a quarterly basis. 
  • Work with the Communication & Outreach team to get the required Annual members for annual operating expenses and Life Members to build an Endowment Fund for posterity.
  • To generate the awareness among members that we need to have membership dues and identify value for the membership dues so levied.
  • Attempt to get Budgets of other Alumni Organizations like AIIMSONIANS of NORTH AMERICA & MAMCOANA
  • Identify an accountant who is familiar with not for profits in NY.
  • Identify corporate sponsors and major donors who may be able to provide funds to support the annual operating expenses while we build the Endowment Fund over the next few years. 

Suggested Committee Members:

  • Treasurer
  • CPA

Members to agree to meet once a month at predetermined times and earlier if required and will report to the Board monthly or as required.
