Bina JainI joined Lady Hardinge in 1974 and graduated with the batch of 1978. I moved to the US in 1980 and completed an Internal Medicine residency and a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. My husband, two children, and I moved to Florida in 1987. I practiced as an internist and pulmonologist in inpatient and outpatient settings for over 25 years in Tampa Bay. Since 2017, I have worked primarily as an internist, filling the remainder of my time with volunteer work at the Good Samaritan Clinic, hobbies, travel, and spending time with our grandchildren. In addition to personal volunteer work, philanthropic efforts will have a beneficial impact more widely, particularly in supporting future generations in accessing the universal right to education. Locally, my husband and I have sponsored an endowed scholarship at the Hernando Pasco State College. Additionally, we support several foundations, including the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation - United States and the Akshaya Patra Foundation. Within the LMHC community, I am pleased to sponsor a scholarship in perpetuity to empower subsequent female physicians with the firm and well-rounded education we have benefited from during our time at Hardinge. I am thrilled to reconnect with fellow LMHC alums through LMHCAANA and look forward to future meetings and traveling with the LHMCAANA Globe Trotters. |
