Celebrating, Supporting, and Empowering Women Physicians

Hema Nathan

MD

I run a very successful MD VIP Concierge Family Medicine practice in Thousand Oaks CA and have excellent relationships with my patients. I started my solo practice soon after residency training in family Medicine in IL. I thoroughly enjoy my day taking care of all kinds of problems that my patients bring to my door. I joined LHMC in 1965 and after a few years of post-graduate training in India I immigrated to USA. I have served on the bylaws committee of Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks and have been the chair of family medicine in both community hospitals in Thousand Oaks.

In my professional career I have received many outstanding achievements and awards, such as, Chief of the department of family medicine at Westlake hospital 1991-92, Cornejo Valley Outstanding Physician award 1996-9, Outstanding woman achiever of the Cornejo Valley for Westlake magazine in 1999, Chief of staff recognition award for Steadfast Leadership in Advancing Excellence in patient care, and Chief of the department of Family Medicine, Los Robles Hospital 2012-2014.

I recently joined the LHMCAANA and am thrilled to connect with Hardonians. I appreciate the huge effort by LHMCAANA to support the Mizoram alumni in combating COVID. I encourage all the junior members to participate wholeheartedly.
