Impromptu luncheon in DC

Thanks to Rita, we had a fun lunch meet on Sunday.

It was great to see batchmates and their husbands, Pragna and Bharat; Gita and Ajay. Also connected with Rita, Nikki and our medicine lecturer and fellow Hardonian Dr Surjit Singh nee Ahuja. We had a good laugh as I called one of us "Rani " (a term of endearment in Punjabi). It reminded us of how every patient in our good old Hardinge was always addressed as " Rani "! Good old days.

KumKum stayed overnight with us and did we catch up!!!

I'm still settling in the new area, new environment and trying not miss home. It was so wonderful to see Tina, Gita, Ajay, Dr. Ahuja, Rita, Nicky Singh and KumKum.

I'm amazed that at one lunch we managed to meet so many people, revived our social contacts, made new memories and shared laughter so easily. We really had a very good time and hope more opportunities arise to meet more of our friends and Hardonians.

It was such a surprise to see so many of us in one place. I had no idea about the large number of Hardonians who have immigrated to this country. I only remembered Tina and Gita but it was really nice to meet all of you. Kum Kum you better show up on time when we meet next. Niki wish you all the best with your adventure and health. I decided to visit the DC area for my High School reunion at the spur of the moment in mid-October and posted a message on the LHMCAANA Whatsapp page and lo and behold I found myself attending a lovely lunch at the Lebanese Taverna. I attempted to join the girls straight from the Airport - it was an arduous journey to say the least - and everyone and had a good laugh at my travails on driving in the Tristate area!! The good news is that I got a taste of the Hardonian spirit, a delicious lunch and an opportunity to reconnect with girls who had become WhatsApp friends. Some of us had shared the dissection hall at Hardinge and we shared our memories of formaldehyde and everything else!! I was supposed to meet up with Vimla and Reshma on Monday, but it did not happen due to sudden illness in the family - hoping to meet them in person soon. Thank you so much, girls.
