My name is Gita Rupani and I am from the proud 72 -76 batch LHMC. I came to USA in 1980. I am married to Ramesh Rupani from IIT Delhi 72-76. So you can guess how we connected…

After a residency in Anesthesiology 1980-1983 at U of Chicago, I founded the pain clinic at U of C. I undertook ABA certification in 1994 and was the one of the first to take the Pain Boards. I retired from U of C in 2011 and started my own practice in interventional pain. Currently I am also doing practising anesthesiology part time at Hinsdale hospital in Chicago.

I love meeting people from all walks of life and love to travel as much as I can before getting older !! Mind you I am not old

Currently I am the President of Sindhi Association of metropolitan Chicago.

I love cultural events and cannot forget the desi festivals:Holi, I wish I could keep doing water colors all the time! Diwali,I wish I could put live candles all over my place like In Delhi! Lohri:Sunder mundriye Tera kaun bigara…..I grew up in Delhi and love Punjabi folk songs. I am delighted to join the LHMCAANA. I was active with the former LHMCAANA but had a set back by a life event which made me slow down- but life happens- it has made me slow down- but life happens!!! We have to bounce back❤️
