My name is Neelam Batra (nee Bhutani).
I am from the 71-76 batch of LHMC. Came to U.K. after doing a couple of house jobs and have been in the U.K. since 1978. I did my MRCOG and practiced hospital based Obstetrics and Gynecology and retired from my Consultant post 7 years ago.
I was passionate about Yoga and practiced physical yoga teaching it to colleagues and friends.
My other passion has been music. I have been fortunate to perform in several charity concerts over the years, initially with a live band and then with karaoke.
I have raised money for cancer research and other charities including the construction of local temples. I am a regular temple devotee and bhajan singer.
During Covid, I started a prayer session with my fellow Hardonians which has been running everyday for the last 2 years.
The LHMCANNA melodies club has given me an opportunity to be connected with a lot of like minded, music loving, friends. Themed sessions generate tremendous happiness and camaraderie. I feel privileged to be a part of this club and be connected with so many globally dispersed fellow Hardonians.
I would love to see the LHMCAANA Melodies group have an in person get together in the near future and see each other perform live.
