I joined LHMC in 1979 and graduated In 1983.
I am a board certified OBGYN, living in Danville PA with my husband, a Professor of Computer Sciences and my mother. Our two sons are pursuing computer sciences.
My mother belongs to Lucknow (UP) formerly known as Awadh the hub of Mughals, also synonymous with Mughlai cuisines. I developed a passion for cooking as I watched my mother cook and have experimented with recipes and created my own recipes.
I like healthy cooking and focus on the nutritive value of foods & how best to preserve nutrients while cooking. As a physician I subscribe to: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
I am very active on the LHMCAANA Nutri chef club which came into existence in April 2021, during the pandemic and have volunteered to be the scribe for the Nutri chef club for the LHMCAANA newsletter. The lockdown appears to have stirred Hardonians to upgrade their cooking skills and try new cuisines. Members of this club share recipes and discuss kitchen tools and appliances and all matters culinary.
My vision for this club is to for members to share their understanding of their creations and for all of us to help in being a resource for healthful diets. Happy cooking!
