Celebrating, Supporting, and Empowering Women Physicians

Priti Seth

MD, MMed, FRCPath, LHMC batch of 1971

I’m a career Hematologist and have had a lifelong interest in Spirituality, Ayurveda and Jyotish (Hindu astrology), which I studied formally at the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan in New Delhi, earning a certificate of Jyotish Alankar. It was through this that I learnt about the connection between Cosmic events and our own spiritual journey on Earth.

At the Meditation/Self Hypnosis Club, we meditate for 45 minutes every Saturday at 4 pm EST. During these sessions, we center ourselves with techniques which have been tried and tested over thousands of years.

For the past few months, we have meditated with Gen Khedrub, a professional Buddhist monk. I have led Mantra meditations, using the power of mantras to change both our minds and bodies, to bring focus, concentration, peace and a clarity of mind, to see things as they really are, and to be free of the sorrows and stress of life.

My Vision

Our vision for the Club is to help us bring peace and calm to the mind, to benefit ourselves and others. Swami Vivekananda said “the calmer we are, the less disturbed our nerves, the more shall we will love, the better will our work be.” These words sum up our goal and vision for the Club.

We lovingly invite everyone to come and join us as we meditate our way to a more fulfilling life!
