My pursuit of public health and doing more on a preventive level brought me to Boston in 2017. I moved here in the summer and loved all that Boston had to offer along with the academic scholarship and richness. However, the first winter itself made me realize that the missing greenery and vibrancy in my surroundings affected me deeply. I started growing plants all around me in the controlled environments of my tiny apartment (to the extent that some people called it an “Amazon forest”). I killed some, nurtured some and persisted at it till I found a balance.
I join the Green Thumb gardening group to learn from the wisdom of fellow Hardonions, and to watch all the beautiful things one can nurture at home and outside. Be it Dr Vibha’s trailing roses, or Dr Anupama’s beautiful collection of plants, or Dr Ila’s spring blossoms, or Dr Kumkum’s seed sprouting advice, the group motivates us to keep growing and rejuvenate.
