I hail from Uttar Pradesh, India and completed my MBBS from Lady Hardinge, New Delhi and followed it up with an MD from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and a DNB as well. Being passionate about the management of Infectious diseases I decided to pursue a Fellowship in Infectious diseases in the US and that landed me in Buffalo. As my fellowship wraps up, my experience as a clinician in the US has prompted me to follow it up with an Internal Medicine residency to round off my clinical expertise.
Apart from being a physician, I am a fitness enthusiast. I am a certified Yoga trainer and regular practitioner for over a decade, a running and dance enthusiast. I love balancing my work and my workouts and my idea of blowing off steam is usually working up a sweat. I moved to Buffalo with my now almost 11-year-old German Shepherd and on most weekends I can be spotted in downtown Buffalo walking him, or as some say being walked by him. I am married and my husband started his career as a physician (MBBS from JIPMER) but then changed paths. He is currently wrapping up his MBA from Ross, University of Michigan and would be moving to Buffalo this year as well.
My vision for the Social Committee is to help plan events that engage all members and their family members in fun and interactive events. The idea is to create a community that supports, celebrates and grows together.
