I joined Hardinge in the year 1966. After graduation, I did my house-surgeonship at Safdarjung Hospital and DGO at Lady Hardinge Medical College.
I migrated to USA in 1976 after marriage and did my residency in Radiology followed by a fellowship in Body Imaging from Johns Hopkins. I joined a large radiology practice group in Maryland, DC and Virginia region. While practicing, I did Master’s in Administrative Medicine from University of Wisconsin. During my practice as a radiologist for 40 years, I have served as Chair of Radiology at two hospitals for 28 yrs, became senior partner, and member of Executive Team of the group. I was elected as President of medical staff and was appointed as Trustee on the Hospital Board. I have been member of many committees at the hospital and Board level.
I started and chaired Breast cancer Awareness and Community Outreach Program promoting mammography as "early diagnosis saves lives".
Currently, I am Chair of Outreach Committee of LHMCAANA. With the help of a group of very dedicated volunteers, our goal is to reach out to 1100+ graduates in USA and Canada. I see LHMCAANA as a robust organization of very talented and dedicated physicians serving all over USA and Canada.
Since the rejuvenation of LHMCAANA. I have actively participated in many meetings and committees. In August 2022, I took initiative to organize first Annual Convention of LHMCAANA in Washington DC, a very successful event which drew great attendance and was enjoyed by members of LHMCAANA. My current endeavor is new travel club for LHMCAANA named LHMCAANA GLOBE TROTTERS. A team of 7 members has been put together working diligently to bring fun loving stress free trips to explore wonderful world in company of fellow hardonians.
