I joined Lady Hardinge in 1966 and migrated to USA in 1977. I did Residency in Radiology followed by a Fellowship in Body Imaging from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore and Masters degree in Administrative Medicine from University of Wisconsin. I joined Radiology practice group in Maryland, DC and Virginia region . I have served as Chair of Radiology at two hospitals for 28 yrs, was elected as President of medical staff and was appointed as Trustee on the Hospital Board. I started Breast cancer Awareness and Community Outreach Program promoting mammography.

Now fully retired , my focus is on the community service and philanthropy. I am President of Potomac Rotary Club, Board member and Treasurer, Senior Connection of Montgomery County, a nonprofit organization serving seniors , Member Jai Ho, Seniors health and wellness group and Founding member, Care Connection Foundation, an NGO based in Noida (India) with focus on empowering women with improved Education and Health , currently working to enrich public schools for girls in UP , India through a program "Adopt a School" to provide resources to improve quality of education.

Since the rejuvenation of LHMCAANA, I have been actively involved with LHMCAANA and served on multiple committees and initiatives. With collective efforts, more alumni were contacted, Board was organized, byelaws were written, Electronic platform for communication ( Wild apricot) was selected and a website was created. As the team member, some of these activities include my role as:

Board member: I have served as Board member for two terms (2022-2025).

DC Galamania: In August ,2022, I took initiative to organize first Annual Convention of LHMCAANA in Washington DC. It laid down a road map and framework for future events now called Eventopia.

Chair of Outreach Committee (2022-2025): Committee has created a model for flawless networking and bidirectional flow of information from Board to all our alumni through a nationwide network of RCDs and SCDs with focus on improved data collection and increase in dues paying membership.

Chair of Finance Committee(2024-2025): Finance committee has created a sustainable framework for maintaining and reporting financial data with transparency to LHMCAANA members. An Endowment fund account is established.

Lead Organizer Globe Trotters Club: Our goal is to bring fun loving stress free trips to explore wonders of world in the company of fellow hardonians. To know more about our past or future trips, visit our LHMCAANA website.

As of January 2026, I have been appointed on Advisory Board of LHMCAANA. In this new role, I envision myself to provide my expertise and services to further enhance LHMCAANA through strategic guidance, support to board of directors, networking and mentoring leadership.
