Atlanta Meet

  • 18 Jun 2021
  • 1:00 PM
  • Atlanta, Georgia

LHMCAANA girls visiting Atlanta GA planned an impromptu gathering on June 18 2021 and had a sumptuous meal at an Indian Restaurant. Unfortunately Deepti Munjal was out of town and Rashmi was unable to join us as her son developed a fever the night before. At the time we were unaware of other Hardonians in the area, it turns out Angelica James, Kanika Kalra, Manila Gaddh, Rachna Gadhok, Ritu Sachdev and Shabnam Jain too maybe in the Atlanta area.

A few words from the attendees

Rita Wadhwani 1969

Was very excited to meet my fellow Hardonians . Bonded immediately , felt like a family was reunited . Even though I met some of them for the first time ,understood their life’s ups and down. ❤️

Madhu Ahluwalia 1966

Immediately felt at ease ,able to connect so quickly and lives shared with such openness felt so good meeting other hardonions.

Rekha Singh 1979

I really enjoyed meeting my fellow Hardonians. It was like meeting your family after a long time…. We should ALL do it again sometime when pandemic situation is better!!!

Onkar Raina 1984

Before meeting I was not very keen on meeting older batches since I did not know anybody. After the meeting / lunch, I was amazed and inspired by how active and vibrant LHMC students from the late 60"s and early 70's were.

Indu Malik 1971

As someone who recently moved to Atlanta, I was very excited to have the chance to reconnect with my fellow Hardonians. Thanks to all the girls for their enthusiasm. We all enjoyed and look forward to more events to come.

Sonia Kapoor ’91

Thank you for your warm welcome and delicious food. I think this initiative is much needed and will be very meaningful to the LH community everywhere.

KumKum Sood Bhasin ’70

Madhu and I connected in person after having communicated with each other for over 6 months via the phone, Zoom and all… It was as I expected - no shocks - a down to earth Hardonian - and our electronic bond transformed into a real life bond with excitement as we chattered away the evening into the wee hours of the morning. The next morning we were picked up by Rita and driven to the Restaurant wondering if we would recognize Onkar and Rekha. Indu had already met us - she insisted on picking us up from the airport and dropping us off at Marietta where we were spending the night. Rekha and Onkar arrived and were recognized immediately - it started our chit chat about Hardinge and the conversation flowed without any stops till it was time to leave for the airport.

Thank you for Atlanta Girls for this warm welcome and we must get together again and soon.
